Air Quality Monitoring Overview
NAMP/SAMP – Manual Air Quality Monitoring

Under the National and State Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Programmes (NAMP/SAMP), ambient air quality is monitored manually on 8 to 11 days per month at designated locations. Different parameters are sampled for different durations as per regulatory guidelines:

  • PM10 – 8 hours
  • PM2.5 – 24 hours
  • SO₂ & NO₂ – 4 hours
CAAQMS – Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring

The Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System (CAAQMS) uses automated analyzers to provide 24x7 real-time data on air quality.

Air Quality Parameters monitored: PM10, PM2.5, SO₂, CO, NO, NO₂, NOx, NH₃, O₃

401-500 Severe Affects healthy people and seriously impacts those with existing diseases
